Neck and shoulder complaints are, together with (lower) back complaints, the most common form of joint complaints. It is often the result of constantly repeating short movements or a static posture. These can radiate to your head, arms, elbows, hands and fingers. Sometimes there is loss of strength and you suffer from tingling in your hand or fingers. Nowadays, neck and shoulder complaints fall under the name CANS. CANS stands for Complaints of Arm, Neck or Shoulders and is the new name for RSI. These complaints seem to occur more in women and get worse as they get older. A shoulder massage relieves the pain in the shoulders by promoting the flow of blood in the muscles. The muscles are massaged loose and waste products are removed by the active lymphatic system. You can choose a massage of 30 or 45 minutes.
